Aesthetic appeal
You don’t have to look tough to handle the rough. The gelcoat used on our body panels is the same as used on luxury yachts, so as well as looking great it is easy to look after and as tough as nails, so apart from a front stone shield there is no real need for body armor which just adds extra weight.
